I have serious trouble trusting people with my hair, I think partially because I went to beauty school and have always done cuts and colors myself. But I've been DYING for balayage and the process is just too hard to pull off yourself. I knew I needed a pro. I actually originally went to DETROIT in hopes of finding a "balayage expert". Unfortunately, I was quoted like $500 on top of the back and forth trips downstate. So I just kept putting it off. Finally found Studio 415, looked into the reviews and bios. Loved the fact that SARAH had balayage and ombre training and it said she had a knack for creating new looks. I got a cut originally to get a feel for it and she seemed super professional and personable. I could tell she knew what she was doing and I actually trusted her.
So bon voyage with the balayage! My hair was already pretty blonde with some serious regrowth which I think helped to an extent. She ended up spending about 5 hours on me, doing several different processes. At first I was taken aback by how dark and somewhat streaky it looked but trust me, IT ALL BLENDS OVER TIME. That's just the game of haircolor. I now have AWESOME balayage hair that I've been dreaming about forever and pinning on Pinterest. And guess what? I had a 20% off coupon from the Parlor (it's in the girls bathroom in case you're wondering), so I ended up walking out of there for a mere $150. MORE than happy! Will definitely be going back.
